Natural Home Remedies For Dark Underarms

Sometimes it’s nothing more than the accumulation of dead skin cells that causes your underarms look dark. In such case you have to gently exfoliate your skin under your arms. A soft loofah is also sufficient but scrubs can give you really white underarms.  I know that it is so embarrassing to have dark underarms. You can’t raise your hands regardless of the possibility that you set out to wear a sleeveless top! Being mindful every time implies such a great amount of offering of flexibility. How to Lighten Dark Underarms Naturally?


Milk- 2 tablespoons and Curd- 1 tablespoon and Flour- 1 tablespoon Mix milk, curd and flour to get a paste.Apply to your underarms Leave for 15 minutes.Wash off with water

2.Orange Peel

Mix two teaspoons of powdered orange peels with enough rose water and milk to make a thick paste.Gently scrub your underarms with the paste and then leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes.Finally, wash the area with cold water.Repeat the process two or three times a week.

3.Coconut oil

Massage the dark underarms with coconut oil.Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water.

4.Olive Oil

Olive oil- 3 tablespoons and Tan sugar- 1 container Blend sugar and olive oil.Wet the skin under your arms.Apply the sugar-oil blend there.Leave for about 5 minutes.Wash off with water.


When you use a razor to shave, you cut off hair just below the surface of the skin. Shaving results in unsightly stubble, which gives the illusion that you have darker underarms. The same goes for hair removal creams like Anne French or Veet. Both of these also remove hair on the surface only, which makes the underarms look darker. The fact that shaving results in ingrown hair also further contributes to the problem. Instead, try waxing as it removes the hair from the root itself

6.Potato, Cucumber

Potato also works as a natural bleaching agent. You can either rub underarm skin with thinly sliced potatoes, or grate the potato and apply the juice to the affected area. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash. You will notice that soon the underarm skin appears to be lighter in color. Similarly, you can grate a cucumber and apply the juice underarms.


Potato is also known as a bleaching agent, which helps in lightening the dark area of the skin. Slice a thin piece of potato or just grate the potato and apply the juice to the dark area of the skin, leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

8.Baking Soda

Take some baking soda and water. Mix them to make a thick paste. Apply them to your underarms and gently scrub the area. Wash off and pat dry the skin.


Take a little milk.Take a few strands of saffron and mix them with milk.Apply to your underarms.If you leave it overnight and wash off in the morning, it’s the best way to get the benefits of milk and saffron.

10.Olive Oil

Mix brown sugar and olive oil.Wet the skin under your arms.Apply the sugar-oil mix there.Leave for about 5 minutes.Wash off with water.

11.Gram Flour 

Mix gram flour, yogurt, lemon juice and turmeric.Mix them well to get a smooth paste.Apply this paste to your underarms.Leave it there for half an hour.Wash off with water

12.Multiple Oils

  • Olive oil- 3 drops
  • Jojoba oil- 3 drops
  • Wheat germ oil- 3 drops
  • A little water


  • Blend all the oils and water
  • Blend well
  • Apply to your underarms
  • Wash off after a few minutes
