1-Celery 

  • Take ½ tsp Celery seed (Ajmuda) along with water before each meal for 15 days. Celery seed extract  has anti-inflammatory properties. 
  • Or take daily ½ litre fresh juice of Celery leaves and its stems at suitable intervals in a day. If you don’t like its taste you can add Carrots juice in same quantity to enhance the taste. 
  • Or simmer 5 gm Celery seeds in 2 glass of water for an hour on medium heat until reduced by one glass and drink. It will normalize uric acid in your body. 
  • Or take celery root tea 3-5 cups a day. Or make some Celery root soup. Dice celery root; add stalks, salt & peppers to taste. Boil until soft and have it.

2-Potato

  • Soak thin slices of a medium Potato with peels in a glass of water overnight next morning drink it on an empty stomach. 
  • Or drink a glass of freshly squeezed juice of Potatoes on an empty stomach for few days. This is a highly beneficial and trial prescription for uric acid.

3-Garlic, Milk

  • Boil 2 cloves of Organic Garlic (Desi Lehsan) in 1 ½ cup of Milk until reduced by one cup strain and drink it lukewarm. 
  • Start this remedy with 2 cloves of Garlic then gradually increase to 6 cloves of Garlic in 15 days. This is a highly beneficial and trial treatise to normalize uric acid in your body.

4-Saffron, Raw Goat Milk

  • Mix well ¼ tsp Saffron in a cup of raw Goat Milk and drink daily. It will be quite beneficial to reduce the pain and inflammation of gout.

5-Papaya

6-Nigella seeds oil

  • Mix 5 drops of Nigella seeds (Kalonji) oil in a cup of lukewarm water take it twice a day once in the morning and once in evening. It will very beneficial in Gout treatment and it provides immediate relief.

7-Pumpkin, Ash Gourd

  • Boil or Bake then mashes 250 gm Pumpkin (Mith Kaddu) or Ash Gourd (Petha) pulp.

8-Roasted Brown Rice

  • Roast ½ cup of Brown Rice in an iron pot on a medium flame for 15-20 minutes then chew and eat them in a small quantity during the day. This is a highly beneficial and trial treatment of gout.

9-Apple Cider Vinegar, Honey

  • Mix two teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar with two teaspoon of Honey in a cup of lukewarm water.
  • Sip this mixture slowly while taking each meal thrice a day. Drinking three cups of this mixture every day should relieve you of the painful symptoms of gout. 
  • The anti inflammatory property of honey and malic acid content of apple vinegar will work together to ensure relief.

10-Corn Silk Tea

  • Corn silk (Makai Resham) is known to have diuretic properties. Corn silk tea or infusion can be made by pouring 1 cup (240 ml) of boiling water over 2 tsp (2.5 g) of dried corn silk. 
  • The mixture is covered and steeped for 10–15 minutes. You can sweeten with honey to taste and a dash of fresh lemon juice may also enhance the taste. 
  • The tea should be consumed three times daily at maximum use for 10 days and then skip for 5 days.  Corn silk tea can help lower the amount of uric acid, giving you relief from the pain.

11-Baking Soda, Lukewarm Water

  • Dissolve ½  tablespoon Baking Soda with 8 ounces/a glass of lukewarm water drink all of it within a minute and do this 3 times a day for 15 days. 
  • Baking soda alkalizes the blood and urine, preventing uric acid crystals from forming. Uric acid remains in suspension in the blood and urine in an alkaline environment and is easily eliminated through urination. Baking soda can raise the blood pressure.

12-Lemon / Lime Juice

  • Lime is a good source of Vitamin C which is known to prevent inflammation and cure sore joints. Also, the citric acid in limes counteracts the effects of uric acid. 
  • Take the juice of half a lime squeezed into a glass of water twice a day. The citric acid content of lemon serves to neutralize excess uric acid in blood stream; the most important element contributing to the occurrence of gout. 
  • So daily consumption of water enriched with squeezed juice of half a lemon (or fresh lemon slices) proves counterproductive from the point of view of gout.

13-Vegetable Juices

  • Besides juicy and citrus fruits; certain vegetables also have curative role to play in the treatment of gout. 
  • Raw vegetable juices are an excellent treatment for gout, particularly Carrot, Beetroot and Cucumber. Liquidized into a juicer and make a cocktail of your favorites. 
  • Try to drink a pint a day, not all at once but with regular doses throughout the day. Equally beneficial is the regular consumption a cup of juice made out of French beans or String beans in treatment of gout. 

14-Cherries

  • Cherries both sweet and sour may be consumed before breakfast to counter the inflammatory conditions of gout.

15-Bananas

  • Bananas can help in the treatment of gout and can be included in ones diet during the therapeutic stage. Simply eat 2-3 bananas daily, for three to four days to seek relief from gout. 
  • The high potassium content in bananas will help convert uric acid crystals into liquid form that will be flushed out of the body later through urination.

16-Apples

19-Herbal Teas

Chicory: Steep 25 gm Chicory root to 2 cups / 16 oz boiling water, and take as much of it as you want.
Thyme: Drink as a tea. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons to a cup of boiling water. Sweeten, and drink.
Alfalfa:  Alfalfa is known to reduce the amount of serum uric acid levels in the blood. Drink Alfalfa tea, prepared by steeping one teaspoon of dried alfalfa leaves in a cup of hot water for 10 to 15 minutes.
Yucca, Yarrow, Mint: Equally beneficial is the regular consumption a cup of Yucca or Yarrow or Mint tea in treatment of gout. 
Ginger: Make Ginger tea by chopping an inch of fresh Ginger root into small pieces (or ½ tsp of powdered Ginger) and boiling them in a cup of water for 5 to 10 minutes after straining drink this solution at least once daily.

20-Meadow Saffron, Cumin seeds, Sweet Lime juice

Make a fine powder of Meadow Saffron (Colchicum autumnale) (Suranjan Shirin) and Cumin seeds (Safed Zeera) in same quantity. Take ½ tsp along with lukewarm milk after breakfast and drink 2 glasses juice of Sweet Lime (Mousami) at 4 pm within 3-4 days uric acid neutralize in your body.

21-Fennel,DriedGinger,IndianGinseng,GreenChebulic Myrobalan

Make a fine powder of Fennel (Sounf), Dried Ginger (Sonth), Indian Ginseng / Winter cherry (Asgandanagaori) Green Chebulic Myrobalan (Sabaz Hareer), Meadow Saffron (Colchicum autumnale) (Suranjan Shirin) in same quantity. Take 1/3 tsp powder along with fresh water at 4 pm within 3-4 days uric acid neutralize in your body.

22-Fennel, Dried Ginger, Meadow Saffron, Indian Rhubarb

Take each one 25 gm and make a fine powder of Dried Ginger (Sonth), Fennel (Sounf), Liquorice (Mulethi), Meadow Saffron (Colchicum autumnale) (Suranjan Shirin) and Indian Rhubarb/Rheum (Revandchini) and save in a vessel. Take ½ tsp along with fresh water twice a day.

APPLICATION HOME REMEDIES FOR GOUT

1-Activated Charcoal, Flax seeds Powder

Activated charcoal is known to absorb uric acid. Mix well 10 tbls Activated Charcoal and 10 tbls Flaxseeds powder with some hot water until it forms a paste. Slather petroleum jelly or Olive affected area. Spread a thick coat of paste on a piece of gauze or cotton cloth, and then apply over the affected greased-up area before sleep leave it on for overnight next morning rinse it off with lukewarm water

2-Activated Charcoal, Lukewarm water

Those suffering from gout should take a charcoal hot foot bath twice or three times a week. Make a paste of 10 tbls Activated Charcoal by adding some water now Put the paste in a tub and add more lukewarm water. Soak your ankle joint or toe joint for at least half an hour.

3-Epsom Salt Bath /Soak

Usually affecting the ankle joint or toe joint; patients affected with acute gout are often advised to take hot foot bath in water enriched with Epsom salt. In case the conditions affecting more than one joint regular bathing in lukewarm water with Epsom salt proves to be relieving. For a bath, add 2 cups of Epsom salt to warm bath water. Or soak your body in it until the water starts losing heat.

4-Mustard powder, Whole Wheat flour

Make a mustard plaster and apply to the achy joint. Mix 1 part Mustard powder to 1 part Whole Wheat Flour and add enough water to form a thick paste. Slather petroleum jelly or Olive oil affected area. Spread a thick coat of mustard paste on a piece of gauze or cloth, and then apply over the greased-up area before sleep leave it on for overnight next morning rinse it off with lukewarm water.

5-Juniper oil, Castor oil

Make a compress comprised of tolerably warm castor oil or juniper oil. Placing this on the affected area or application with cotton ball will help break down the toxic deposits. This has been found to be very beneficial to many gout sufferers.
