NATURAL DECOCTIONS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

A decoction is basically a simmered herbal tea. Herbs possess medicinal properties. And decoction is the most effective method for drawing the healing elements from coarse plant parts such as bark, roots, stems, and heavy leaves. Making a decoction is simply the process of simmering herbs in water (In a decoction, the herbs are boiled in soft water such as rain water or distilled water. Well water is not good to use because of the hard minerals present such as iron and limestone.), but to do it properly requires some patience. Thus the best method of preparing the decoction is to boil the herbs for 20 minutes three times in a row, combining and mixing all three doses.
Some of the herbs in a formula will contain some volatile aromatic oils as active ingredients. These volatile oils can be captured in a 20-minute boiling, but will probably evaporate after an hour at high temperature. This standard method ensures that all the various active herbal ingredients are present in the final medicine. A decoction is usually taken orally and split into 2-3 doses but the dose may take all at once or escalated depending on the person's condition. You should consult a doctor or herbalist to discuss dosage levels before starting to take any decoction. When used as directed, there are no known side effects have been identified. Here are five herbal decoctions that are ideal supplements to diet and exercise when trying to lose weight.
